Rescue Diver changes the way you look at a dive. You learn to recognise stress earlier, prevent small problems from becoming emergencies and respond with a clear plan when another diver needs help. The same awareness also improves your own diving.
Rescue training is serious, but the course does not need to feel heavy. Teamwork, realistic acting, instructor drama and plenty of laughter help keep the training engaging and memorable.
The course includes ten rescue exercises and two open water scenarios.

Self-rescue, assisting tired and panicked divers, missing-diver searches, responding to an unresponsive diver, rescue breathing, safe exits, teamwork and full emergency management.
You need the qualifying certification listed under Requirements. The course then develops prevention, response and teamwork through structured rescue training.
You need current practical CPR and first aid training completed within the previous 24 months to complete Rescue certification. PADI EFR or another accepted practical qualification may meet this requirement.
No. Rescue training is serious, but it is useful beyond professional training and is designed to build stronger awareness, response skills and teamwork.
The course is hands-on, but the goal is efficient problem management rather than brute force. Each exercise prepares you for the scenarios that follow.
